Several weeks ago We went to Shalom Baptist in the village of Terikpaa and taught about sixty people how to share the gospel through Bible stories. We used a plan called Storying Trainung 4 Trainers. Our trip was covered by Emily Peters, a writer with the media department of the West Africa Team and William Haun a free lance photographer. There were 5 of our students at the seminary who took part along with Joseph Adbulai, Peggy, and myself. Saturday those who were trained went out in pairs to share the stories with unbelievers in their village. Sunday we came together to story again and those who had shared their story with someone gave their testimonies. Storying is a great method for sharing the gospel especially to those who can not read, or who don't have the Bible in their language

Three weeks ago we traveled to Terikpaa to witness a Baptism of 24 new converts in a flooded rice paddy near bye. Some of them were from Shalom Baptist Church in Terikpaa and some from Heritage Baptist Church in Kushibu. Rev. Isaac Wuni officiated at the Baptism, because he is ordained by the Ghana Baptist Convention which is required for Baptisms and The Lord's supper. Then we went to Shalom Baptist which meets in a school building while money is being raised to build a house of worship.

Sunday at Heritage Baptist in Kushibo

Sunday 6 of us decided to go to Heritage Baptist Church in Kushibo north of Tamale. We went unannounced. In the group were Lansah our driver, Joseph our interpreter, Danny and Sue Jaynes, missionary friends and Peggy and me. We were a little late getting there and at first it seemed no one was there but when we peaked in the window we saw about 40 children and 6 adults. They were very glad to see us. They were a little disorganized because Deacon John who preaches for them was not there. He was at Tarikpah for a fundraising for the building there. Maybe some of the others were with him. Anyway I was asked by the young man in charge to preach so I did, and we taught the children the song, "The B I B L E" We had a good time and the children enjoyed us being there. I believe God wanted us to be there so we would see they need our encouragement and help. This will be our focus when we get together with pastor Stephen. Joseph wants to help me. This will be a prime place to show the Hope DVD when we get our equipment. Joseph and I will schedule opportunities to go and do Bible storying.
